THE HISTORY OF FREE FOOD FRIDAYS

Free food Fridays was established January 18, 2013.. It was started by Tuesday Knight, Operations Manager at the Big Bend CDC. There was a need for fresh food in the Big Bend Community, and it was only fitting that the CDC step in to provide a solution!

WHO CAN RECEIVE FOOD?

Times are tough, and food is becoming more and more expensive. That’s why everyone is eligible to receive FREE food every Friday! There are no special requirements. It doesn’t matter if you are in need or if you know someone in need. The food is for everyone.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participation is Simple! To participate in our weekly Free Food Friday’s event, all you need is:

* Your Own Bag
* On-time arrival
* A pleasant attitude
* You must also be prepared to provide your name, address, and telephone number!
